Star Trek month to be celebrated by CBS, IDW, Paramount and Amazon

November is going to be a big month for fans of Star Trek as the series will be celebrated across several platforms including CBS and IDW.

November is just around the corner and that means Star Trek Month. At least that means Star Trek Month on Amazon. The supersized seller of goods is teaming up with CBS, Paramount and IDW Publishing to fans of the series. Now you might wonder, “Why would I get physical media anymore?” That’s a good question, so let’s walk through the benefits of such a purchase. Firstly, it’s yours. If Amazon themselves have proven anything, it’s that you can’t trust digital services. That means at any point a digital streamer can yoink that thing you like watching over and over again away without warning.

Secondly, if your dependent on the internet to watch your content, and your internet goes down, what are you going to do? Stare at the wall? That seems unnecessary. You can just pop it in your disc reader and boom, you’re good.
