Fans know quite a bit about Worf’s childhood and his adult years as he faced ridicule and scorn among his people. But, in spite of the dismissal, he entered Starfleet Academy and became a strong warrior and a fierce opponent dedicated to honor and duty. As the first Klingon to enter the Academy, Worf had to have had difficulty adapting. Even though he grew up with humans, he couldn’t change who he was.

So imagine the possibilities with an animated series that explores Worf adapting to such a rigid environment, taking orders from people who didn’t understand what a Klingon was doing in Starfleet, some who possibly still had issues with the Klingons. Though Worf said he had to learn control in his early teens because he’d accidentally killed a boy during a game, that control would have been tested at the Academy.

Michael Dorn will soon be lending his voice to the series Invincible, but that shouldn’t stop him from still portraying Worf, taking Star Trek fans back to the glory days of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. There would be so much to explore in these episodes, and viewers would love to have Worf return, even if only in voice form.
