It’s still Black Friday for a few more hours over on Star Trek.com!

Star Trek fans in the United States are aware of Black Friday and the fact that it is the largest day of sales for retailers across the country. It’s a day where previously stocked items, say from the previous year’s Christmas, are finally replaced by newer products by the same companies. Usually to go on sale for that year’s Christmas.

So to get rid of the overstocked, and out-of-date items, companies launch into blow-out sales. Normally this is applied universally across stores, so even newer items will be discounted to some degree. It’s the big door-buster sales, however, that is usually on the older merchandise.

Now Trek fans can get into the “holi-sales” spirit on Star Trek.com, as they’re discounting every item 25% off until Nov. 28, 2021. Just use the promo code “Friday”.

Red shirts in the original series were often thrown onto the no-name crew members of the franchise, as red was for engineering and security back then. So whenever a character was killed off, they quite often had a red shirt on. That’s why the gag is great because red shirts aren’t supposed to be lucky in Star Trek.
