Need something to watch on Christmas? How about these three Star Trek films!

Merry Christmas to everyone reading this. We hope you’re having a wonderful, and happy holiday. We know that today can be stressful for a variety of reasons. Be it for parents trying to make their kids happy or for others who are dreading seeing specific family members. Maybe you’re someone who’s working or whose plans fell through. There are a lot of reasons to be stressed out today.

A great way to destress is to pop in a film and zone out for a bit. Yet, you want the film to be Christmas-y in tone, but you maybe also want to watch some Star Trek. Finding a film that embodies both is not an easy task, as Trek has done a job staying away from doing any real holiday-themed episodes.

So it’s not exactly like it’s a franchise with an abundance of Christmas-themed episodes or films to watch. After all, this isn’t Star Wars and there’s no Life Day special for fans to suffer through. That doesn’t mean there are films for Trek fans to watch that could in fact inspire the feelings of Christmas.

Below we have three (five) films that could work as a holiday film; more because of what the film offers, not so much when the film takes place. Since Star Trek has largely stayed away from those types of holidays, this is the best most Trek fans will have if they have a desire to check out a film around the holidays.

So the next few slides will give you the three films we think work best as a holiday flick, even if they aren’t technically holiday flicks.
