Star Trek has included many non-actors in cameos during its run.

As Star Trek fans, most of us know about the cameos of actors who just popped in for a quick scene on one of the series. Like Dwayne Johnson who fought Seven of Nine on that Star Trek: Voyager sixth season episode “Tsunkatse,” and The Orville creator Seth MacFarlane, a massive Trekkie, who appeared in two Star Trek: Enterprise episodes “The Forgotten” and “Affliction.”

These actors generally show up and don’t have much to do or say. It’s either been their heart’s desire to be in an episode of the franchise, or they were asked by the producers who thought it would benefit that particular series at the time. But there were several cameos by those who weren’t working actors at the time, and Trekculture brings some of them to light its latest video.

It’s reasonable to assume most of us probably missed these Star Trek cameos.

While I am a massive Trekkie, I could not tell you what all of the producers, creators, and showrunners look like, and I couldn’t point them out in a crowd. So it’s fair to say that some of these cameos from people like Ira Steven Behr on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’s final episode and Harve Bennett on Star Trek V were understandably missed.

Trekculture’s Sean Ferrick does a great job bringing these ten cameos to light. I only remembered two of them as they actually happened, and the other eight were new to me. He does include a couple of actors, one of whom was famous for his previous guest starring role on The Original Series, and he is unrecognizable in his cameo role so it’s understandable that we couldn’t tell that it was him. Still, a really interesting video that might have you asking “how did I miss that?”
