Star Trek: Picard has made a few mistakes with the Borg Queen.

We know that series can make mistakes. Even series we think can do no wrong do often do wrong. Such is the case with the latest Star Trek: Picard episode. Agnes Jurati has been almost completely taken over by the Borg Queen. Jurati made what very well could be a fatal mistake by choosing not to completely eradicate the Queen aboard the La Sirena. Granted, the Borg Queen got the crew to 2024, but with so many great minds in the past, did no one consider they could find someone to help them return to the future? Everyone was worried about changing the timeline, but so far, they haven’t done a very good job of staying under the radar.

At any rate, when the Borg Queen takes over Jurati while still aboard the ship, she had access to the ship’s replicator which she could have used to make the lithium she needed. Instead, she leaves the ship and heads out into the streets of a world that is less technologically advanced to find lithium so she can have more power.

The Borg Queen has been shown to be methodical, intelligent, and cunning.

A recent video clip uploaded to Youtube was posted with the headline: Jurati Had a Working Replicator but Chose to Eat Car Batteries Instead. The clip clearly reveals that the replicator aboard the La Sirena is functioning properly. Ergo, it should have been able to give the Queen exactly what she needed to fulfill her diabolical plan.

There could be some reason why the replicator couldn’t recreate what she needed, but so far, the viewers haven’t been made aware of this which makes this a glaring mistake. And based on the comments in the above-referenced video, which now has over 15,000 views, the viewers are, once again, disillusioned by the inconsistency, especially since the Borg Queen wants to get control of the La Sirena but left the ship that she already had in her custody and control.

If she had powered up aboard the ship, she would have been virtually unstoppable on the city streets where she could have begun assimiliating people right away. Alas, that isn’t what happened which is why people are questioning. Perhaps Jurati’s presence is confusing to the Queen, but whatever the case, that replicator still would have been a better place to start.

dark. Next. “Assimilation” was a 3X brilliant title for Star Trek Picard S2E3
