One major Star Trek: Picard character is done after season two.

Star Trek: Picard was launched as a goodbye of sorts for Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard. It was envisioned as Star Trek’s “Logan”, with Stewart being the old and grizzled hero, much like Hugh Jackman’s Logan. The idea was to give Star Trek an edge and show the world what Trek could be.

Instead, it kinda made some fans happy and kinda turned some fans off. Even with shows like Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek: Lower Decks, it was Picard that arguably turned off the most fans, simply because of what it was promised to be and what it failed to be.

It featured a great cast too, with The Next Generation’s biggest hitters all come back at some point in the series, save for Tasha Yar/Denise Crosby. It even brought on several past Star Trek characters like Hugh, Bruce Maddox, and Seven of Nine.

Yet, one of the new characters isn’t sticking around for the final season.

Star Trek: Picard character not returning for season three (*spoilers*)

You’ve been amply warned. If you don’t want to know who’s not coming back, this is your last gasp.

Dr. Agnes Jurati, played by the impeccable Allison Pill, will not be sticking around for season three. While this doesn’t mean she’ll be killed off during season two, Pill explicitly states she wasn’t on hand to film anything for season three.

Pill told Movieweb that she couldn’t tell them about any spoilers and revealed she wasn’t a part of season three;

"I know that season three will be the end. I wasn’t a part of season three, so I don’t have much to say about it in terms of spoilers. I will get to watch along with everybody else."

The season started off with the death of Elnor, so why wouldn’t it end with the death of Agnus Jurati?

Moreover, with the character having been subjected to the same plot twice (being controlled by the enemy), why would Pill want to come back just to redo the same storyline?
