Terry Matalas is hinting at the ship being used in Star Trek: Picard’s third season.

Star Trek: Picard has its fans and its detractors. That’s all fine and good, opinions are diverse and there’s no reason for us to have to agree on a subject. Do you like the show? Good. You don’t like the show? Good. It doesn’t matter what anyone else likes. What we can all agree on, however, is that Picard showrunner Terry Matalas is a very engaging member of the crew.

Matalas is one of the more interactive showrunners on social media and while it’s not always a great thing to be that tied to social media, as it can be hard on the soul, it’s great to see someone take so much pride in interacting with fans.

In a recent Tweet, Matalas revealed that one of the newer ship sets we’re going to see in the upcoming season. The third season has already finished filming and now the show is being edited, so various behind-the-scenes content will likely be shared ahead of the eventual season three trailer.

We don’t what ship they’re filming on but we know what ship they’re not

At the end of season two of Picard, Seven of Nine, Jean-Luc Picard, and Raffi were seen sitting on the bridge of the USS Stargazer. Picard gave Seven of Nine command of the ship, and many thought that we’d see the ship return in season three, with Seven of Nine firmly back with Starfleet.

Matalas, however, who released the video above showing the bridge of an unnamed Federation ship, said “not so fast”.

When asked if the Twitter video was shot on the set of the Stargazer, Matalas was very clear with his reply.

Matalas isn’t one to lie, so it’s likely not the Stargazer. It could be the USS Titan, or maybe the newest version of the USS Enterprise for all we know. It’s all a mystery until we get some answers in the trailer.
