There’s a new trailer for Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova and it’s interesting.

Revealed at Star Trek: Mission Chicago, Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova will put fans of the animated series into the role of Prodigy stars Dal and Gwyn as they look for their missing crew members. The game had no footage or hint at what it would be at the convention but a trailer was promised within the next few weeks.

Well, it’s been a few weeks since the convention in April and the game’s developers and studios have revealed the first look at the upcoming game. Outright Games and Tessera Studios have revealed the first look at Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova, which will release later this year on the PlayStation 4 and 5, the Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Stadia.

Not only will fans be able to play as Dal and Gwyn, but the cast of the show will be back to voice the roles they portrayed in the series as well.

The trailer shows both Dal and Gwyn, which players will be able to play as during the game. It combines action and puzzles for fans to engage in, while you search and find your fellow Porotstar crew members.

It doesn’t seem like the most robust of games, and there’s a hint to that in the price. The game is only being priced at $39.99, hinting at the idea this game isn’t deep enough to be considered a true triple-a title, which usually goes for $59.99.
