The question of what Star Trek: Picard would do with Worf upon his return has been answered.

Star Trek: Discovery, in the eyes of many fans, bastardized the Klingons when they re-introduced this iconic alien race in the first season of their series. The pronounced ridges, big hair, and iconic look were replaced with purple orcs that would have been better served in a Lord of the Rings property. They were not well received, and while some fans will defend them, most fans thought they looked awful. So when Star Trek: Picard announced that they’d be bringing back the cast of The Next Generation for its final season, many fans worried about what would Worf look like.

Worf, after all, was one of the most beloved characters of the 90s, and is the longest-serving series star in the television franchise of all time, appearing in two franchises, across almost 15 years of content.

No one actor has done more on-screen appearances in Trek than Worf’s actor Michael Dorn. Turning him into a purple Oompa loompa-looking monstrosity would set the fanbase ablaze. Luckily, the producers have stopped trying to give fans what they think we want and are just giving fans what we want.

Worf is back, and so is the iconic Klingon look.

Worf remaining the same isn’t the only thing that caught our eye in the character reveal for Star Trek: Picard’s third season

Worf, admittedly, looked the most badass in the reveal of the characters. He wasn’t the only one with obvious and noticeable changes either. While thanks to Voyager we know that Geordie La Forge (LeVar Bruton), would end up becoming a captain, seeing him wearing the command red and sporting some impressive pips was awesome.

We also see that Seven of Nine’s return to Starfleet is official, and she (Jeri Ryan) will now also be in some command position, be it captain or something close to it. The rest of the crew seemingly hasn’t changed since we last saw them, or are still apparently in the positions they once were when we left them, like Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), who looks to still be wearing the medical/science blue of Starfleet.
