Jadzia Dax, played by Terry Farrell, was killed in the sixth season of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Terry Farrell played the Trill Jadzia Dax for six seasons on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine before her character was killed off. She’d wanted to remain on the series part-time, but that wasn’t allowed, which led to her character’s offing, something which didn’t sit well with us fans. Jadzia was married to Worf, and they had started discussing having a baby when Gul Dukat killed her. We’ve never fogotten that, and we always wanted a chance for her to return, to end up with a happily ever after. And it turns out, we’re not the only ones who want Jadzia back.

During a Deep Space Nine panel at the 56-Year Mission Star Trek convention in Las Vegas [via Trekmovie], Farrell discussed her character’s return and how it could happen.

"I was actually thinking about how Spock died. Didn’t he melt, basically? He saved everyone’s life. And then he just came back… and there he was. And Kirk kind of went, “Oh, there he is.”  And everyone nodded and said, “Yes, he’s back!” I want that moment for me…"

Terry Farrell retired from acting in 2002 to focus on her family.

Now that her son is off to college, Farrell is ready to focus on her career again, and bringing Jadzia Dax back from the dead would be a great way to restart it. And clearly one that she wants.

We’re about to see Worf on Star Trek: Picard, and we know how much Michael Dorn still loves his character and wants to continue in the role. With Farrell onboard to make a shocking return as his wife, this could set the scene for a new series that fans would be clamoring to watch. Now, if only someone at Paramount will pay attention.
