Gates McFadden InvestiGates podcast gets a second season

The first season of Gates McFadden InvestiGates: Who Do You Think You Are? wrapped late last year. 

Now the word is out, thanks to Trekmovie, that the podcast where Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher, Star Trek: The Next Generation) gets into personal conversations with guest from the Star Trek World, is returning for a second season. This isn’t just McFadden interviewing; it’s deeply personal conversations where friends, family, and the cast’s experiences are brought to light. It’s where you’ll learn more than you thought you knew about some of your favorite cast members from some of your favorite Star Trek shows. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll wonder where this has been all of your life. And season two promises even more.

Coming to talk with McFadden next season will be William Shatner, Kate Mulgrew, Anson Mount, Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, John Billingsley, and others. And McFadden had this to say about the upcoming season.

"Just like the camping song I sang as a kid—Season Two is silver and gold—I’m making new friends, but honoring some longtime ones as well. Old friends from Voyager, Enterprise, and The Original Star Trek. And new friends from Discovery, Lower Decks, and Strange New Worlds."

Gates McFadden is also returning as Dr. Beverly Crusher for the final season of Star Trek: PIcard.

Undoubtedly, this will come up in the discussions McFadden has with the Star Trek actors as will the ending of Star Trek: Picard, especially since next year will bring us closer to what could be the wrap-up for other series. With Star Trek: Discovery on season five, it could be winding down as no other Star Trek series has gone beyond seven seasons. So there is plenty to discuss.
