We’re looking at the three scariest villains from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine this Halloween.

With it being Halloween, we’re looking at the scariest villains from across all of Star Trek. We’ve already done Voyager, The Original Series, and The Next Generation, so now we move on to Deep Space Nine.

The Original Series and Voyager lent themselves better to horror and fright simply due to how they were developed. TOS was really the first of its show with, at the time, cutting-edge prosthetics. The things they created were horrifying, even if they didn’t intend to be. Voyager also dealt with the idea of fear and terror arguably more than any other show (or at least better than them.)

Deep Space Nine, however, was more of the “war” show for the series. So it didn’t lend itself to as many spookems as others in the Star Trek mythos but they did have their fair share of horrifying characters.

Unlike other entries, one of these will be more of a species, than an individual character. We tried to focus on characters, but one species needs to get some much-deserved love.

Three of the scariest Star Trek: Deep Space Nine characters for this Halloween

Kai Winn

When you weaponize faith, that’s always a deadly and dangerous move. It’s a very real-world situation, that many have had encounters with. Kai Winn, on the other hand, did more than just weaponize faith. She helped bring forth demonic-like aliens with the ability to possess people.

The Breen

There’s never a central character from The Breen to really focus on here. They’re a race of aliens who never show their face voluntarily and no one really even knows what they look like. They’re a race of hateful, killing machines, and their lack of any real facial features to relate to makes them truly scary.

The Wadi

They trap people without their consent in terrible games. I mean, dang. Talk about scary.
