Star Trek: Picard season three will feature the Titan as the show’s hero ship, not the Enterprise.

Star Trek: Picard is reuniting the bridge crew of the USS Enterprise-D (and E) with the third season of the series. Jean-Luc Picard, William Riker, Beverly Crusher, Deanna Troi, Worf, Geordi La Forge, and Data…err…Data’s evil twin brother Lore (still counts, right?). Well, even if the crew isn’t all back, the core cast members are. They’re all back, even the Enterprise.

Well, the Enterprise-F is here, and it’ll be featured in the season pretty significantly, at least according to Picard showrunner Terry Matalas. Matalas spoke to TrekMovie.com about the upcoming and final season of Picard and revealed that the show will feature the newest incarnation of the Enterprise, but the “hero ship” will be the Titans.

Matalas goes on to say;

"The Enterprise-F is not at all the focus of the season, although it does appear in very, very important moments. It is not the focus. The Next Gen cast does not all gather on the Enterprise-F and go have a bunch of adventures. The hero ship of this season is the Titan, an underdog."

In any other season or show the Titan should get its due but not this season or show

I love the USS Titan as a ship. It’s one of the best-looking ships ever, and it has long deserved its time in the sun. In any other season of any other show, including Picard, the Titan should have been the ship to go with.

But with the show ending, and in turn, the adventures of the Next Generation crew, the ship that the adventures should’ve happened was the Enterprise-F or even the Enterprise-E. The reunion won’t truly be complete without it, even if its a different ship the crew of the Enterprise should’ve had their last hurrah on the Enterprise.
