Paramount+ is going all out this year at San Diego Comic Con.

The streaming channel is introducing a new interactive booth for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which, according to SDCC’s blog, will offer fans the opportunity for two immersive photos. Fans can sit in the captain’s chair of the Enterprise and then take a trip to one of four “strange new worlds” to explore like a Starfleet officer. This will all happen at Booth #3529 on the show floor.

If that isn’t enough to whet fans’ appetites for more Strange New Worlds, Paramount+ is hosting a city-wide digital scavenger hunt on ParamountPassport.com. You can register at the site and then visit all seven sites listed below and scan an item at the location to collect a passport stamp. Once you’ve visited all seven locations, you can go to the Passport Redemption area at The Lodge to collect a limited edition prize.

The seven locations are:

The Lodge, A Paramount+ Experience (Happy Does Bar, 340 Fifth Ave, San Diego, CA 92101)
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (58 11th Ave San Diego, CA 92101)
Yellowjackets Hard Rock Hotel (207 Fifth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101)
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (San Diego Convention Center, Booth #3529)
TMNT: Mutant Mayhem (San Diego Convention Center, Booth #4113)
Digman! (San Diego Convention Center, Booth #4029)
Ghosts (San Diego Convention Center, Booth #229)

Back at Booth #3529, Paramount will have official costumes and props from the series on display, and there will opportunties to win giveaway prizes.

Paramount+ is trying hard to keep the interest in what is now its flagship show.

Having cancelled Star Trek: Prodigy, the execs at the streaming channel have to know that fans aren’t overly happy with them at the moment. And with Discovery wrapping up after its fifth season, the channel is going to be down to two active Star Trek properties until Starfleet Academy can get underway, which may not happen for a very long time due to the WGA and the SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Paramount is definitely putting in a lot of effort to engage Strange New Worlds fans at SDCC, but this could also have to do with the cast’s inability to discuss the series. Whatever the reason, fans will certainly enjoy these opportunities.

San Diego Comic Con starts tomorrow, Wednesday, July 19th and runs through Sunday, July 23rd.

Next. Expect the actors’ strike to affect Star Trek conventions. dark
