Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has returned to the Top 10.

Is Star Trek: Strange New Worlds hitting on all cylinders in season two, as they did in season one? Well, some would argue the second season has slowed down and been mostly inconsistent. Some fans have fallen off completely and some of that has to do with the bold big swings that the cast promised fans.

So it’s really not surprising to find out that the show is not able to stay in the Top 10. According to Nielsen ratings, who are tracking show information for all major streaming outlets, Strange New Worlds has returned to the Top 10 with their fourth episode, “Among the Lotus Eaters”. Since the ratings take about a month to come in, it’ll be hard to know how the season is currently going until next month, but so far the show is largely dropping in and out of the Top 10.

The fourth episode of the season ranked in at No. 9. The season premiered came in at No. 7, while Week 2’s “Ad Astra Per Aspera” came in at No. 8. The third episode, arguably the best of the season, “Tomorrow, and tomorrow and tomorrow” didn’t crack the Top 10.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds not holding the audience in season two

It should be noted that Paramount+ as a whole doesn’t usually chart. Only Yellowstone and Star Trek are likely shows to hit the Top 10, so that’s a good thing for Strange New Worlds. However, the fact that the show isn’t constantly charting in the Top 10 after only four episodes is a strong sign that fans are not as invested in season two as they were in season one.

The quality of the season has taken a hit, with the writing feeling more forced than before. It feels like a different show than season one, and fans are noticing it. The show will likely hit the Top 10 a few more times, but it wouldn’t surprise anyone if the show was no longer in the Top 10 by the end of the season.
