When will Star Trek: Lower Decks return for season four?
Star Trek: Lower Decks made big waves when two of its stars, Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid appeared on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds in an an era-bending and genre-defying crossover. Newsome and Quaid reprised their Lower Decks characters but debuted them in live-action for the first time ever. Many people enjoyed seeing Newsome’s Beckett Mariner and Quaid’s Brad Boimler in live action.
So much so that it arguably did more to help hype up Lower Deck’s fourth season than it did for Strange New Worlds. That fourth season isn’t very far away either, but if you’re like some fans, you may not know exactly when the fourth season of the animated comedy is coming.
So we’re here to help with just that.
Season four of Star Trek: Lower Decks is set to premiere on Sept. 7, 2023, and will premiere both of its first two episodes. You’ll need a Paramount+ account to watch both episodes when they drop, though it’s very likely that they’ll move at least the season premiere to YouTube for people to view it for free.
The status quo stays the same for Star Trek: Lower Decks
Things will largely stay the same for the Lower Decks crew, as there aren’t any major additions or subtractions. Newsome and Boilmer are back as Beckett Mariner and Brad Boimler respectively. Noel Wells will return as D’Vana Tendi, and Eugene Cordero will reprise his role as Sam Rutherford, rounding out the core four characters.
Dawn Lewis, Jerry O’Connell, Fred Tatasciore, and Gillian Vigman will also reprise their characters of Carol Freeman, Jack Ransom, Shaxs, and T’Ana respectively.
While we don’t know much beyond that, we do know that Gabrielle Ruiz will reprise her role as T’Lyn from prior seasons.
