Could a Raffi and Worf spinoff work as well as Legacy?

In the most recent addition of Star Trek Explorer, Michelle Hurd said that another teamup with Raffi and Worf is necessary.

Michelle Hurd and Michael Dorn worked extremely well as Raffi and Worf in the third season of Star Trek: Picard.I’ve written before what a great team they made. In Star Trek Explorer #9, Hurd said there’s more story to the team, and that it’s necessary to see both of them on camera again.

Almost every fan of the final season of Picard are onboard for Star Trek: Legacy, the spinoff of the series with Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) serving as the captain of the new Enterprise and Raffi as her second in command. And while that would no doubt be an excellent show, could it also be too expensive for Paramount to consider right now?

Raffi and Worf have enough chemistry and a lot more stories that could be told.

A series or even a movie with the pair would lessen the need for higher salaries for any additional characters that have already been a part of Star Trek. The series could bring in new characters each week. And their investigations wouldn’t have to take place aboard a starship as there is plenty that could be done inside the walls of Starfleet and other areas of the Federation.

But would a series with the two work as well as Star Trek: Legacy? I think so…at least to start. I do think that eventually Paramount will see that Legacy is just as necessary, but to start with Raffi on leave working with Worf again would be an excellent way to whet the appetities of waiting fans.

With Paramount interested in a series of movies, this is one that could fit the bill nicely as well. A two-hour story with Hurd and Dorn as the leads would, undoubtedly, draw in the fans.

What do you think? Would you watch a Raffi/Worf movie or series?

Next. Star Trek: Picard did the right thing by keeping Raffi for season three. dark
