Michelle Hurd says she and Jeri Ryan both want Star Trek: Legacy "so badly"
It's not surprising that the subject of Star Trek: Legacy would come up at a convention that includes the stars of the potential series. That happened at Spacecon in San Antonio, TX with a panel that included Star Trek: Picard's Michelle Hurd who played Raffi Musiker on Star Trek: Picared. Excited fans asked yet again for more information about Legacy and if the show would happen. [via Trekmovie]
"“Girl, I’ve got every single part of my body crossed that this day happens. Jeri and I both want Legacy so badly, and I gotta say thank you to you, and thank you to all of our communities that are trying to get that forward and signing petitions and kicking it out there. That’s the way that things happen, is you guys, your voice actually does impact the studios.”"

Star Trek fans have had major impacts when it comes to series, both with getting one greenlit [Star Trek: Strange New Worlds] and getting one renewed [Star Trek: Prodigy]. So it's baffling as to why the campaigns and cries for the show have gone unheeded this long. Yes, it took a while to get Prodigy picked up for a second season after it was cancelled by Paramount+, but that was moving one series to another channel.
What's most difficult about the wait is the silence. Alex Kurtzman said earlier this year that greenlighting Legacy is out of his hands, but there hasn't been much information offered since then. Seven monhs later, we have no idea if Legacy has been mothballed and Paramount+ is just choosing not to tell the fans. One way or another, that's what we want. An answer. Could we at least know if the series is being seriously considered or that it definitely will not go forward? Right now, we'd probably even settle for a "we want to do the show, but we're having an issue with the budget" as we know Star Trek shows are expensive to produce. Basically, fans want to know if they're wasting their time by continually asking for a Star Trek: Legacy greenlight.
