We're moving into day six aboard Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas for Star Trek The Cruise VII, and next year's celebrity guests have been announced. Next year will be the 30th anniversary of Star Trek: Voyager, and the cruise has plenty of Voyager actors joining to help celebrate, which brings me to the first reason why you should be on Star Trek The Cruise VIII which sets sail February 23 from Miami heading to Costa Maya, Cozumel, and Belize City before returning on March 2, 2025.

1. You're a big Star Trek: Voyager fan. As mentioned above, next year, there are several actors from the series who will be aboard Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas starting with Captain Kathryn Janeway herself, Kate Mulgrew. Also attending will be Garrett Wang, Jeri Ryan, Robert Picardo, Roxann Dawson, and Tim Russ.

2. You love cosplay or watching other cosplayers create their own unique take on a Star Trek uniform. Every night aboard the ship, there are parties that celebrate various aspets of Trek and fun. This year, we had Gorn's Warp Party, Salute to Sci-Fi, Return to Risa, Mutiny on the Holodeck, and Q's Costume Party. And talented fans were there for each one!

3. You love to laugh. Star Trek The Cruise is notorious for games, including the Holodeck Heads Game Show and Trek-Libs. This year, Garrett Wang, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Ed Speleers took up the challenge on the Holodeck Heads Game, and the laughter was non-stop. With plenty of guessing, questions, and snarky comments, the trio brought the house down. I'm told this year was even funnier than last year's!

4. You love to learn. Though the Star Trek Cruise is meant to be fun and an opportunity for fans to interact with the people who bring the various Star Trek series to life, you will also have the chance to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes with guests like Michael and Denise Okuda (who haven't been listed as guests for Star Trek VIII at the time of this writing), Dr. Erin MacDonald, Lolita Fatjo, and Dr. Mohamed Noor who presented a fascinating seminar this year on "Why Are There So Many Humanoid Aliens on Star Trek?"

5. And finally, you want to get to know the actors who have given you so many reasons to love Star Trek. And, on a Star Trek Cruise, there is every chance you could even find yourself sharing an elevator with one of those actors. You'll see fans chatting with them just like they're old friends, and you'll discover these people are as real as it gets. Then your love for the franchise will grow stronger. Book and see for yourself!

2025 Booking opens March 12 at 10 AM CT, and you can see learn more at Star Trek The Cruise website,
