Star Trek: Strange New Worlds first look at season three and the return of an old character

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is a bit off from having its third season ready to go, but that didn't stop the series from appearing at San Diego Comic-Con. They showed a rather humorous look at the upcoming season. Captain Christopher Pike, Nyota Uhura, Christine Chapel, and La'an Noonien Singh all took part in an undercover mission with Spock that saw them change their DNA.

The non-Vulcan members of the aforementioned group, get their DNA re-arranged so that they may not only appear but become Vulcans for a short time. This is done up for some comedy, as now Spock is the one that is seen as "illogical", as he's only partially a Vulcan. Something his crew mates are all too ready to remind him of. This of course leads to some silly shenanigans, with the crew being nearly perfect in everything they do.

They complete their mission very quickly and return to the ship ahead of schedule, yet they don't return to their human selves. Thus setting up a situation where the crew is stuck as the obnoxious Vulcans that they've become. It's cute, quirky, and seems like a lot of fun. All elements of a pretty fantastic Star Trek.

Plus, Anson Mount's hair is even better as a Vulcan.

That's not all, however, as it was also announced at the convention that Dr. Roger Korby will return to the franchise. He was the antagonist for the seventh episode of the first season.
