Star Trek: Prodigy's standout character of season two

Star Trek: Prodigy has a host of talented voice actors that bring the amazing characters to life. The second season, which premiered on Netflix on July 1st, only proved that this series has a lot more stories to tell because of these characters. And there's one that stood out in particular who will hopefully get more screen time if Prodigy is renewed for season three as fas are hoping for.

Jankom Pog [Jason Mantzoukas] has been one of the comedic reliefs for the series and is always ready with a snarky comment. He often relies on "percussive technology" to fix a stubborn piece of equipment that isn't working quite as it should. And this season, the Tellarite had this fan laughing out loud and wanting more.

Referring to himself in the third person is one of Jankom Pog's quirky qualities that makes him standout from the rest of his team. And though he can provide the humor, there is often wisdom in the depths of those quips such as when he warned Dal about what the temporal energy could do to him in Ouroboros: Part 1. Or in Brink when he suspected Dal's suggestion to steal the train could get them all killed.

"Dal: So... what, we steal the whole train?
Jankom Pog: [shouting] Oh! Are you trying to suggest lousy plans that'll get us killed?
Maj'El: Your demeanor is brutish, but your logic is sound."

Jankom Pog has always been one of my favorite characters, but this season he stood out even more. He simply tells the truth in the way that works for him, and more often than not, he's not wrong. And to be so young, he's a brilliant engineer, and I'd love to see at leaston one episode that focuses on him should Prodigy get renewed for a seson three!
