2. Ceti Alpha VI explodes
Ceti Alpha VI’s destruction in Khan episode 5 is the most obvious candidate for a live-action spectacle. The audio production makes the event terrifying through disbelief: Khan, Marla McGivers, and the settlement watch an entire world disappear, then realize that the expanding debris is headed toward them.
A streaming version could begin quietly, perhaps with the same scene from the podcast, in which Khan and Marla share a rare peaceful moment, before the sky lights up with debris. Seeing the sixth planet rupture in the distance would give the audience a concrete sense of scale, while the aftermath could avoid empty visual-effects excess by staying close to the settlers’ faces.
The real horror is not only the explosion. It is Khan’s immediate understanding of what follows: impacts, climate collapse, ruined crops, lost water, and a world that will eventually become unlivable.
That scene would give Khan podcast actor Naveen Andrews a chance to portray the shift from confidence to panic to calculation. Khan cannot command Ceti Alpha VI back into existence. For a man accustomed to overcoming every problem through intellect and force of will, that helplessness is essential.
