Captain James T. Kirk and the crew of the USS Enterprise are boldly going where they’ve never gone before. Now that San Diego Comic-Con 2026 is in full swing, LEGO has officially released the first teaser footage, which fans can watch below, for the company’s upcoming bridge set and transporter room based on The Original Series — and just ahead of Star Trek’s 60th anniversary.
The announcement, courtesy of LEGO's Instagram account, reads simply: "Buckle up for the ride."
As previously reported, all seven core TOS characters are included in the new Star Trek creation from LEGO, along with recurring, fan-favorite Nurse Christine Chapel. Now that the toy company has released the teaser and plenty of photos, I have a better grasp of all the cool features the bridge and transporter room will offer brick-building enthusiasts.
For instance, there’s a clever lever to open and close the brightly colored red doors accessing the Enterprise’s bridge. However, my favorite features are the panels located behind the LEGO figures in the transporter chamber, which Star Trek fans can spin around to simulate characters like Kirk and Mr. Spock disappearing from the ship after they’ve beamed down to a strange new world.
Those Star Trek fans who are interested in preordering The Original Series bridge and transporter room set can do so now by visiting LEGO’s official website, and it will cost buyers $199.99. The latest collaboration will ship starting on Tuesday, Sept. 1, and the Enterprise-D LEGO set is also still available to purchase right now for $399.99.
