Star Trek: Prodigy debuted its second season on Netflix in July 2024. Since that time, fans have been eagerly awaiting news on a possible season three renewal. Though the series ended on a note that could possibly wrap up the storylines, there is still plenty of room for more adventures, which is why fans are still asking for Prodigy to be saved.
A fan campaign with aerial banner flyover has already taken place since it was so successful in helping to gain Netflix's attention after Paramount+ decided to cancel the series after only one season. And odds are good fans aren't done with spreading the word and petitioning for another season. The more attention Prodigy has, the better its chances.
Executive Producer Aaron Waltke asked on Twitter/X for those who enjoyed Prodigy to nominate the series for a Hugo Award in the Best Dramatic Presentation (Short Form) category, adding that "it would aid our show tremendously." The nominations are available in fifteen categories, but Prodigy only fits in that specific category.

The Hugo Award nominations are open [click link for voting information] through March 15, 2025 where you can find all the details about how you can vote and who can vote. These awards are huge in the science fiction industry and would put Prodigy back into the spotlight and, hopefully, right in front of the executives at Netflix.
Prodigy is, by far, one of the best science fiction shows and not just in the Star Trek franchise. The creators, writers, and producers behind this show have excelled in combining animated television and high quality sci-fi. Though the series is geared toward a more younger viewing audience, there are plenty of fans outside that age range who enjoy the series and want it to continue.
A Hugo Award nomination would go a long way toward facilitating a renewal for the series. Winning the award could probably cement it. So, while there's still plenty of time to vote, let your voice be heard!
