Welcome back to another recap of Star Trek: Scouts. Are you ready to join JR and the crew on another asteroid blasting adventure? Then let's suit up and join the gang as they take on a glittery globe asteroid and the mischevious Finn, who loves to make trouble during the Scouts' missions.
This episode opens with JR, Roo, and Sprocket playing basketball. Sprocket uses his wrist transporter to beam Roo to the basket, where she dunks the ball. The pets rate her score, all but Bubbles, whose sign simply reads, "I love you!" The game ends just in time because that's when the astro-alarm goes off! Uh oh! What type of asteroid are they facing this time?
Once the Scouts take their stations, Sprocket discovers that a disco ball asteroid from the Boogie Belt is headed for the school! Roo activates the asteroid deflector wheel, which brings up the choices of chattering teeth, slime balls (yuck), a turkey sandwich, and disco dancing shoes. They launch the chattering teeth first, but they shatter on impact and have no effect.
The deflector wheel then chooses the slime balls, but Roo can't energize them! The Scouts discover that they're missing, and that Finn, the trouble-making trickster, took them. He starts to throw them at the Scouts, who duck and dodge to avoid the splatter.
JR asks Sprocket if his wrist transporter could beam him closer to Finn and catch him off guard. Thanks to Sprocket's gadget, Finn soon finds himself covered in slime and running from Bubbles, Zips, and Star, who chase him off the station. After defeating Finn, JR realizes they now have only one minute until the asteroid arrives!
Now there are only two choices left: the turkey sandwich and the dancing shoes. The Scouts launch the dancing shoes, which kick the asteroid to bits and cause a confetti shower! JR, Sprocket, Roo, and their pets disco dance and celebrate a job well done.
