Hello again, and welcome to another recap of Star Trek: Scouts. We're so glad to have you back for another exciting episode with JR, Sprocket, Roo, and their cosmic animal pals as they blast asteroids apart and protect their school.
This episode opens with Sprocket and Star showing off their jump rope skills to a hip-hop beat. When the beat stops, Sprocket poses and says, "Word!" Kids, you might have to ask your parents to translate this ancient slang. Just then, the astro-alarm sounds, which means it's asteroid blasting time!
After the Scouts take their stations, Sprocket discovers that the asteroid is made of bubble gum from the Candy Quark Galaxy and will hit the school in four minutes!
When Roo activates the asteroid deflection wheel, it gives them several choices, including a snow cone, a teddy bear, and chattering teeth. A spin of the wheel has them choosing the snow cone, but the impact with the asteroid breaks it and causes an instant snowstorm! Brrr! Now what?
The snow covers the school and the Scouts, who now only have two minutes and 30 seconds to break up the bubble gum asteroid. JR fires the chattering teeth, but ice forms over the deflector's launcher! Roo launches into action to break the ice and clear it away.
The snow-cone snowstorm is a powerful one, and to Roo's surprise, she can't break the ice! Now the Scouts must work together to find another solution. Sprocket suggests they melt the ice instead of trying to shatter it. Which would work better — a phaser or a colorful, bouncy ball? They choose the phaser, and JR launches himself toward the deflector to melt the ice, with only 10 seconds left until the asteroid reaches the school!
JR melts the ice in the nick of time and returns to the command chair to launch the chattering teeth! They consume the asteroid and blow a huge bubble, which breaks it into bits, causing gum to rain down as the Scouts celebrate their victory!
Wow, what a sticky situation! It's a good thing the Scouts know how to work together. Join us again next time for another exciting adventure!
