It looks like Shadowtrix is up to more mischief in this episode of Star Trek: Scouts. This time, in another holodeck rescue, she steals the invisibility powers of a cosmic baby chameleon to gain control of a powerful Klingon scepter that will help her control the galaxy--but not if the Scouts can help it!
As the episode opens, the Scouts see Shadowtrix steal a baby chameleon's invisibility, and Sprocket wonders how they're going to track her. Fortunately, JR knows what to do, and he says they can track her by scent. Sprocket beams in Zips, who greets JR with enthusiasm (so much that he falls down) to track Shadowtrix by scent! Zips picks up her scent and the Scouts follow his nose.
When Shadowtrix reaches the Klingon scepter, she's almost overcome with the thought of the power it offers. However, two large scanning bots protect the weapon (looking like close cousins of the pogo stick-loving moonbots from episode 6), spot her! She turns on her new camouflage powers, and the bots can no longer see her! In the meantime, thanks to Zip's sniffing talents, the Scouts are right on her heels.
While the scanning robots can't see Shadowtrix, who gives into her feline nature by chasing around a beam from the scepter, they can see the Scouts and trap them in a force field shield! JR breaks the shield by setting his phaser to "Pop!" Once they're free, Zips and the invisible Shadowtrix begin a tug of war over the power scepter.
Roo hops on her hoverboard with the baby chameleon and drops it onto their feline foe's arm, where it grabs the container filled with the stolen invisibility power. The bots turn on Shadowtrix and trap her in a force field, where she yowls in anger and frustration!
Crime never pays, even if you're invisible. Roo returns the invisibility power to the chameleon, who makes a pleased noise. She's happy to be back to normal.
