Fans, set course for Hall H to celebrate 60 years of boldly going!
It’s now official: San Diego Comic-Con 2026 will include a mammoth celebration commemorating the 60th anniversary of Star Trek, which will, of course, be held in the convention center’s vaunted Hall H. The stellar and star-studded gathering is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, immediately following the Strange New Worlds panel at 12:30 p.m. PT (per Variety).
Rod Roddenberry, the son of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry and Majel Barrett (Nurse Chapel, Enterprise voice, Lwaxana Troi), will be on hand and will be charged with handling the panel’s illustrious introduction.
And the following Trek actors are all scheduled to be on hand, including Strange New Worlds’ Anson Mount (Captain Pike), Ethan Peck (Mr. Spock), Celia Rose Gooding (Nyota Uhrua), Rebecca Romijn (Number One), Christina Chong (La'an Noonien Singh), and Melissa Navia (Erica Ortegas), all of whom will be present for the aforementioned SNW San Diego Comic-Con panel.
The legendary captain of the USS Excelsior and The Original Series staple, George Takei (Hikaru Sulu), is by far the biggest name representing 60 years of Star Trek at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
Everyone’s favorite Klingon, Worf (Michael Dorn), will also be in attendance for Star Trek 60 at SDCC, along with The Doctor (Robert Picardo), Trip Tucker (Connor Trinneer), Jake Sisko (Cirroc Lofton), Discovery’s Saru (Doug Jones), Picard's Raffi (Michelle Hurd), Lower Deck’s Ransom (Jerry O’Connell), and Starfleet Academy Klingon cadet Jay-Den Kraag (Karim Diane).
Although, he won’t be able to attend, William Shatner teased the epic Star Trek 60th anniversary celebration being held at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con back in May by saying: “In fact, there’s a… there’s a meeting in San Diego at a big convention in San Diego, where a lot of people go — a lot of programs go to promote themselves. And on a Saturday night, there’s a big Star Trek event […] And they’ve invited me. And I can’t go… because I’m busy. And it’s like, ‘Too bad.’ I’m sorry about that.”
Personally, I wish Walter Koenig was able to attend, too, but the Pavel Chekov actor wasn’t listed among those scheduled to appear at SDCC’s special event. Maybe he will surprise everyone and walk out on stage with the others. For more Star Trek content and San Diego Comic-Con 2026 coverage, please visit the Redshirts Always Die Facebook and X pages.
Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
