Star Trek: Section 31 won't sweep every Razzie category, despite how disappointing the Star Trek streaming film was. For instance, Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh didn’t give her best performance as Philippa Georgiou, but I don’t think she dialed it in simply for a paycheck either. And with Rebel Wilson also being nominated in the same category for her performance in Bride Hard, I think Yeoh is safe.

Disney’s controversial, live-action reimagining of Snow White, which stars Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler, is also up for Worst Picture, so I think Section 31’s shields hold there as well. I also believe director Olatunde will escape the Golden Raspberry’s real-life incarnation of what must feel like a Star Trek Mirror Universe agony booth to creatives who are up for these awards.

I simply can’t imagine Osunsanmi, who was rightfully nominated for an NAACP Image Award (Outstanding Directing in a Television Movie, Documentary or Special) earlier this month, walking away with a Razzie either. However, I do believe Craig Sweeny will take home the Golden Raspberry for Worst Screenplay, even with Snow White also being nominated in that category. (Continued...)
