A total of five Enterprise crew members’ puppets appear in these images along with T’Pring.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ highly publicized puppet episode finally drops this Thursday. However, fans can check out several sneak-peek images from “Level-Five Transporter Accident” below, courtesy of Trek Central's Instagram account, which includes the return of Mr. Spock’s (Ethan Peck) former flame, T’Pring (Gia Sandhu). And yes, she has also been transformed into a puppet by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
A Strange New Worlds teaser trailer promoting “Level-Five Transporter Accident” was released over the weekend by Paramount+ Mexico, which revealed Una-Chin Riley, aka Number One (Rebecca Romijn) and Lt. Erica Ortegas (Melissa Navia) had been transformed into puppets alongside Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount).
Up until that teaser video from Paramount+ Mexico, Pike’s puppet was the only one revealed in videos and images. Now, though, Star Trek fans can get an early look at not only T’Pring’s transformation, but also Dr. M’Benga (Babs Olusanmokun) and Lt. La’an Noonien Singh’s (Christina Chong) Muppet-esque modifications, as well.
I’m delighted to see more of the Strange New Worlds puppets ahead of the next episode, but I am still so anxious to check out the Commander Pelia (Carol Kane) Muppet. During the press tour for SNW season 4, the Pelia puppet was brought up numerous times as the cast’s favorite of all Jim Henson Creature Shop’s creations for “Level-Five Transporter Accident.”
