The future is now in “Tomorrow’s Enterprise.”
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is a single episode away from completing its penultimate season. However, at least part of the final season 4 installment will give devoted fans a glimpse of Captain James T. Kirk’s (Paul Wesley) future as commander of the starship Enterprise.
In the brand-new teaser trailer (below) for Strange New Worlds season 4’s 10th and final episode, “Tomorrow’s Enterprise,” a “temporal crisis,” according to the show’s synopsis, will create the conditions necessary for Star Trek lovers to witness Kirk’s command before Captain Christopher Pike’s (Anson Mount) tragic date with destiny. Although, none of that content is revealed in the footage.
Earlier today (Monday, Sept. 21), Star Trek’s official Instagram also released 20 sneak-peek images from “Tomorrow’s Enterprise,” which most notably reveal future Lt. Uhura, sporting her classic hairdo from The Original Series, chatting with Captain Pike.
Naturally, I'm already intrigued by how much of the future Pike will witness, given he’s already glimpsed his own fate in Discovery’s second season episode, “Through the Valley of Shadows.” However, the new teaser trailer doesn't give hardly anything away, except for the fact that time travel is involved.
So, did you enjoy the brand-new teaser trailer? Or were you disappointed, like me, that the new footage didn't feature Kirk in command? Yes, Kirk will be featured in the captain's chair after the Enterprise encounters the White Hole in space.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ final episode of season 4, “Tomorrow’s Enterprise,” drops Thursday, Sept. 24, on Paramount+. And, at the time of this writing, an official release date for SNW season 5 hasn't been announced yet. However, expect Captain Pike and company to return sometime during the summer of 2027 for the show's final six episodes.
