2. Oded Fehr as Admiral Vance

Where were you when you first saw Oded Fehr? While I went to see The Mummy in 1999 to sigh over Brendan Fraser, I came out with a crush on the dashing Fehr and his character Ardeth Bay. Imagine my delight when he showed up in Discovery, as Admiral Charles Vance, looking like he'd barely aged a day!
Starfleet Academy already did one thing right with its casting choices, and bringing back Fehr is another smart strategic move. His acting style, that of barely-restrained intensity, made him an excellent choice for Starfleet's CNC. It'll be interesting to see how Fehr fills that role and if we'll see any differences in Vance post-Discovery.
