3. Mary Wiseman as Sylvia Tilly
The bubbly and anxious Sylvia Tilly, played by Mary Wiseman, was a fan favorite on Discovery, and for good reason. She provided an imperfect, human touch to the series as a young ensign who wants nothing but to succeed. Fans who related to Tilly and her journey will be excited to know that Wiseman is reprising her role, only a bit older and wiser from all she saw during The Burn.
Wiseman had plenty of opportunity to learn about the human condition during her time on stage in a variety of different productions like Marriage Story, Longmire, and Baskets. Wiseman brought a mix of innocence and ambition to Tilly on Discovery, so I'm looking forward to seeing how she plays the character in Starfleet Academy, as a teacher interacting with cadets that are as green as Tilly once was.
Having these Discovery actors back only makes me look forward to Starfleet Academy even more! Remember, the series drops on Paramount+ Jan. 15, with two episodes!
