Star Trek: Strange New Worlds returns for its fourth season this summer! And the teaser trailer recently released at this year’s Comic Con Experience (CCXP) in Mexico included a scene with Number One, aka Una Chin-Riley (Rebecca Romijn), La’an Noonien Singh (Christina Chong), and Lt. Erica Ortegas (Melissa Navia) teamed up together for an away mission.
Now, Star Trek fans can take a different look at this rad trio’s landing party in a new image. Jan Thijs and Paramount+ are credited for the image, which was shared exclusively with ScreenRant and is a part of the Valnet publication’s 2026 Summer TV Preview. Check out Number One, La’an, and Ortegas staring into the unknown on a strange new world below via SR’s X, formerly Twitter, page.

Personally, the closeup of the three characters in the teaser provides a better quality look at this particular moment, but I appreciate the worldbuilding and scope revealed by this new image, which includes a breathtaking landscape bathed in either a stunning sunset or sunrise.
This appears to be an image from the planet with all the soaring pterosaurs which is also featured in the Strange New Worlds season 4 teaser. But during the closeup of this trio in the trailer, La’an appears extremely worried and has her phaser drawn for protection.
For those who have not seen the new Strange New Worlds teaser yet, the show’s core cast is all confirmed to return in season 4, including special recurring appearances by guest stars Carol Kane (Commander Pelia) and Paul Wesley (James T. Kirk). In fact, Wesley joined Romijn, Ethan Peck, and Celia Rose Gooding in Mexico City for CCXP to help unveil the show’s latest footage.

Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
