Watch the teaser and set course this summer!
Mr. Spock himself, Ethan Peck, James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley), Lt. Nyota Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding), and Number One, aka Una Chin-Riley, (Rebecca Romijn) all descended on Mexico City for this year’s Comic Con Experience (CCXP).
And the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds panel featured on the Banamex Center’s Thunder Stage didn't disappoint as the season 4 teaser trailer was unveiled. Check out the brand-new video (above) for SNW, which returns on Thursday, July 23.
Prior to this year’s CCXP, all the fans had seen of Strange New Worlds season 4 was the bizarre Muppet version of Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) featured in a sneak peek from San Diego Comic-Con 2025 (below). And then later that year at the New York Comic Con, a first-look SNW video gave Trekkies a glimpse of the USS Enterprise crew in live action — as they should be.
Strange New Worlds season 4 will include 10 episodes. Unfortunately, though, the fifth and final season will only feature six episodes. However, the SNW series finale will be beaming aboard two more beloved characters from The Original Series as Kirk takes command of the Enterprise from Captain Pike.
New actor Kai Murakami will portray helmsman Hikaru Sulu, while Thomas Jane (The Punisher, Hung, The Expanse) has been cast to play fan-favorite Dr. Leonard McCoy.
Personally, I feel much better now that I’ve seen the new footage of SNW season 4 from CCXP.
SNW season 3 wasn’t quite as magical as seasons 1 and 2, and I’m still worried how the upcoming Muppets episode is going to land with the fandom, especially after all the hate Starfleet Academy generated from toxic, so-called fans and trolls following its first 10 installments.
