New Star Trek series to be named Star Trek Discovery

HD versions of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager

CBS is making Star Trek Discovery exclusive to CBS All Access, but the other Star Trek series can be found on other streaming services, like Netflix. We don’t suggest CBS pull all of Star Trek and move it to CBS All Access, that might do more damage than good, but they should consider remastering Deep Space Nine and Voyager and making those HD editions exclusive to the streaming service.

CBS did remaster Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Star Trek: Enterprise, but Blu-ray sales of these series weren’t good enough for the company to justify doing HD remasters of Deep Space Nine and Voyager.

Possibly though the reason for the lackluster sales of Star Trek: The Next Generation in HD had less do do with demand, and more to do with it being available to stream from streaming services. HD versions of DS9 and Voyager would make a lot of Star Trek fans very happy and get even more Trekkie support for Star Trek Discovery.
