Star Trek nominated for FanSided Fandom 250


FanSided is ranking the 250 greatest fandoms of all time and Star Trek has been nominated for the list.

We all know that Star Trek is special. Being a Trekkie or Trekker means more something more than just being a fan of a science fiction television show, now we have a chance to prove it. FanSided is going to rank the 250 best fan bases in history in the Fandom 250. This epic ranking will include fans of sports, television, movies, and more. Of course Star Trek made the list, because how could you possibly rank fan bases and not include Trekkies and Trekkers.

What we don’t know yet is where Star Trek will rank on the list. It’s up to us to help Trek get its proper place in the FanSided Fandom 250. You can help by using the hashtag #Fandom250 on Twitter or Facebook. Everytime you talk about Trek on social media include the #Fandom250 hashtag. Let’s make the Federation’s presence felt all over the Alpha Quadrant and be sure that Trek gets its proper place in the rankings.

The final rankings will be announced on December 6th, so we don’t have long to get the word out. Be sure to share this article on your Facebook page and let’s boldly go up the rankings!

These are all fantastic franchise, but they also all owe something to Star Trek. Star Trek took science fiction from a genre that was just for kids to a compelling way to tell serious and moving stories.

There are many reasons why Star Trek is the greatest science fiction franchise of all time, let’s be sure everyone knows it. This year marks Star Trek’s 50th anniversary, so let’s make sure no one forgets the name Enterprise.
