Star Trek has some games available on GOG but which should you buy?

GOG is known for bringing back out of print and hard-to-find games for fans to purchase on their website. They’ve done it for many franchises, including the world of Star Trek. Now, Trek may not have the same abundance of games as other top-tier franchises but they’ve had some gems; especially on the PC.

So if you’re looking to get some Star Trek games, check out the ones available on GOG as they’re some of the best.

Yet, of them, which ones are most likely to tickle your fancy? Well, we looked at their ratings and scores on Metacritic to get a better understanding of what games you should take a look at. These games are from worst-reviewed to best-reviewed.

Ranking all eight Star Trek video games on GOG

We’re favoring the critic scores in this list but if you look at the fan scores, you’ll see they’re largely the same with not much difference. That’s one of the reasons why Star Trek: Armada is rated so high, it is the third most recommended game on the list on just its fan score.

To be abundantly clear, the first game is the least recommended, while the game at the bottom is the most recommended. So it’s in ascending order.

  1. Hidden Evil – Metascore NR / User Score – No Score
  2. Away Team – Metascore 64 / User Score 6.9
  3. Armada II – Metascore 65/ User Score 7.4
  4. Starfleet Command III – Metascore 78 / User Score 7.3
  5. Elite Force II – Metascore 78/ User Score 7.6
  6. Armada – Metascore NR/ User Score 8.3
  7. Bridge Commander – Metascore 82/ User Score 7.6
  8. Voyager – Elite Force – Metascore 86/ User Score 7.9

As you can see, the world of Star Trek: Voyager is as strong in the gaming world as it is in the television world. It’s a quiet classic, and if you like first-person shooters, this is the game for you.
