Star Trek fans will want to keep an eye out for these games this year.

Star Trek fans have long been inundated with games that range from good to really terrible. It isn’t just one genre of a game either, it’s every type of game. There really isn’t any that, at least that was released on consoles, that level that of some Star Wars games.

There were some great Trek games but they ended up on computers, basically avoiding a majority of gamers and Trek fans. So those aren’t exactly the best examples. Now, however, there are a lot of Trek games to shift through.

Most of the computer exclusives are cheaper and more accessible than ever before, but console users are once again getting games that look good. So if you’re a console gamer in 2022, what games are heading your way?s

Star Trek Online

Star Trek Online isn’t a new game by any means, but the massive online game is running a whole story arc, called Stormfall, that players can get involved in that involves Kate Mulgrew as Admiral Janeway and a battle against the Mirror Universe. It’s one of the most anticipated updates to the game, and one that should bring in new and old fans of the franchise alike.

Star Trek: Resurgence

No release date is set yet for Star Trek: Resurgence, but a May or June release seems likely. The game is a Telltale-style game, that will give fans the opportunity to play through a story that is just like an episode of the classic Trek, and then when they’re done, they can replay it and choose a different route. While it’s not going to be super focused on combat and the like, for fans of story-driven games, this is for you.

Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova

This game will likely not come out in 2022, but it’s coming your way. Just announced this past weekend at Trek: Mission Chicago, Supernova will be a game designed around the Prodigy cast of characters. More information is coming near the end of May, so keep your eye out for that.
