Zachary Quinto picked up the iconic mantle of Mr. Spock from the legendary actor Leonard Nimoy for director and producer J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek films from 2009 until 2016. And even though it has been nearly a decade since Trekkies last got to see Quinto portraying the half-human, half-Vulcan Starfleet standout, the wait is finally coming to an end — sort of.

Quinto will once again don his trademark Vulcan ears, bangs, and blue Starfleet uniform for the Halloween episode of his hit television series, Brilliant Minds. In the season 2 episode, “The Doctor’s Graveyard,” which airs on Monday, Oct. 27, Quinto’s character, Dr. Wolf, is all Spock-ed up and ready to party. And fans can check out a special sneak peek right now, courtesy of ComicBook.com. Watch the Instagram post below, which reads as follows:

"Live long and prosper 🖖 Exclusive sneak peek of Zachary Quinto’s character Dr. Oliver Wolf from NBC’s Brilliant Minds dressed up as Spock for tonight’s Halloween episode, alongside Tamberla Perry’s Dr. Carol Pierce as Uhura! A new episode of Brilliant Minds airs TONIGHT on NBC at 10/9c!"

It appears that sparks are once again flying for Lt. Uhura and Mr. Spock as they did in the three Star Trek films based in Abrams’ Kelvin Timeline of the science fiction franchise. Trekkies and fans of Brilliant Minds will obviously be excited to see Dr. Pierce (Tamberla Perry) sporting Uhura’s trademark red Starfleet uniform alongside Dr. Wolf. Shout out to Zoe Saldana, who portrayed Uhura in Star Trek (2009), Star Trek Into Darkness (2013), and Star Trek Beyond (2016), along with Quinto.

So, what do you think of Zachary Quinto dressing up as his iconic character once again? As far as this Trekkie is concerned, it’s been far too long since Star Trek Beyond, and it’s wonderful to see such homage being paid to not only these iconic characters, but also to the brief love affair shared between Spock and Uhura in the Kelvin Timeline.

Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
