Raoul Bhaneja portrays the War College's chancellor, Zeeren Kelrec, on Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. And the actor recently revealed which of Chancellor Nahla Ake's cadets would fit into the War College and replace this tough loss, Tarima Sadal, who was transferred to the Academy after her traumatic encounter with the Furies. Bhaneja said via ScreenRant:

"I think probably Darem would fit in with the War College. He’s got some swagger, and he likes to fight. I think he’s still a little too, from where we’re at in season one, he’s not quite disciplined enough. He’s a little too hot-headed, he’s a little too emotionally immature."

Bhaneja continued:

"But I kind of think for someone like Kelrec, he’s also thinking about these kids in a four-year track. If they make it through the first year, he’s work[ing] on that with Darem in the second year."

Bhaneja means, of course, the Khionian Darem Reymi (George Hawkins), a cadet from a wealthy family with aspirations of Starfleet captaincy.

While Bhaneja laid out Reymi's problems, such as his arrogance and boastful ways, these negative traits could be used in a positive way if the young cadet can find ways to rein them in and have command of them.

Darem must learn how to cultivate these negative traits and turn them toward skills such as intense debating, problem solving, and dominating situations that Starfleet captains often face in battle.

Reymi's willingness to step into a fight suggests he has the mettle for command, but only if he learns that there's a time for fighting and a time for diplomacy.

Some of the most iconic captains in Starfleet history had something of a temper (Kirk and Archer come to mind), and they let it flare when the situation called for something other than peace and long life for their foes. If Reymi can manage this, he'd make a fine War College candidate.
