Paramount+ is ramping up its promotion of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy in advance of the new show’s debut on Jan. 15, 2026.

The latest of the streamer's numerous promos, which dropped yesterday (Dec. 29) on Instagram, is a fast-paced, minute-long video that features some of the franchise’s veterans -- among them Patrick Stewart, Kate Mulgrew, and Jonathan Frakes -- offering advice to Starfleet Academy’s cadets in training. Here's what some of the franchise's biggest stars suggested:

Jonathan Frakes: “Good posture. Good grammar. Respect. Honesty. Cooperation. Collaboration.”

LeVar Burton: “What he said.”

Robert Picardo: “The first piece of advice I would give is that you don’t know as much as I know.”

Kate Mulgrew: “Understand the tenets of the Prime Directive, or there’s no way you’re not going to make it.”

Patrick Stewart: “Be strong and work as much for others as you can.”

Jeri Ryan: “I think they need to think outside the box.”

LeVar Burton: “Never steal a ship…"

Jonathan Frakes: “… unless you have to.”

LeVar Burton: “Unless it serves the story.”

Check out the whole video below:

Following the bits of advice from Starfleet’s finest, fans are given a rapid-fire few seconds of footage featuring Starfleet Academy's Caleb Mir (Sandro Rosta) in a shuttlecraft, enthusiastically weaving through mountains on a rugged planet’s surface. Caleb still has long hair, so this undoubtedly an early scene, or possibly a flashback, from the upcoming show.
