And, no, she is not to be messed with!
Fans of the hit television series Lucifer likely spotted this talented actress in all the footage leading up to and promoting Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4’s puppet episode, which is now streaming on Paramount+. However, for those who might be wondering why SNW’s newest Orion looks so familiar, that’s none other than Rachael Harris hidden under her glorious green makeup.
Harris portrayed Lucifer’s (Tom Ellis) tritagonist therapist Linda Martin — pictured below — in nearly a hundred episodes of the unique dramedy, but most film fans will remember Harris for playing the cruel and dominating girlfriend of Stu (Ed Helms) in the blockbuster comedy, The Hangover (2009).

Once again, Harris brilliantly brings another memorable antagonist to life, but this time as an obnoxious Orion facing off against Mr. Spock (Ethan Peck) and the crew of the USS Enterprise, who’ve all been transformed into puppets due to a massive transporter malfunction.
Harris teased her involvement in season 4 of Strange New Worlds back on July 27, when she posted the sneak peek video released during this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Harris didn’t give away any spoilers, but she cleverly teased her Orion villain with a perfectly penned green heart, writing (via Instagram): “Look closely….. 💚” [at the footage].
Since that cryptic post on Instagram, Harris has been very careful not to spoil anything about her Orion villain. However, Star Trek fans got a better look at her character during the 30-second “next on Strange New Worlds” teaser, in which she’s seen introducing herself to Spock in a most unsavory fashion: exchanging phaser fire.
I don’t want to spoiler Harris’ appearance on Strange New Worlds for those who haven’t seen it, but the actress flexes her acting muscles in a fun way that also adds a true sense of danger and dread to an episode populated by adorable pint-sized puppets. Have you watched the latest episode of SNW? Did you realize it was Harris under that green makeup?
