Check out if your favorites are returning for duty on the USS Enterprise.
Much to the delight of true Trekkies around the world Star Trek is not ending, as some in the press have wrongly speculated. And Strange New Worlds season 4 is set to drop out of warp and onto streaming this summer on the heels of Starfleet Academy’s controversial first season on Paramount+.
However, will all Strange New Worlds’ fan-favorite characters be returning for action? Well, the following is a list of all the actors and their respective characters who are confirmed to return in season 4, courtesy of a press release from the Paramount Skydance Corporation:
Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike
Rebecca Romijn as Number One, aka Una Chin-Riley
Ethan Peck as Mr. Spock
Jess Bush as Christine Chapel
Christina Chong as La’an Noonien Singh
Celia Rose Gooding as Nyota Uhura
Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas — she flies the ship!
Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M'Benga
Martin Quinn as Montgomery Scott
Don’t worry, Star Trek fans, because both Carol Kane’s fan-favorite Lanthanite Commander Pelia and Paul Wesley’s version of James T. Kirk are beaming back aboard for Strange New Worlds season 4 in recurring guest star roles. And there's plenty more Spirk on the horizon for those who love Kirk and Spock's evolving relationship.
I’m delighted that the core Strange New Worlds cast is back, but I wonder if showrunners Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers have cast the role of Spock’s illogical half-brother Sybok yet. It’s unclear if he will appear in season 4, but Sybok will be at the heart of a SNW story before the show concludes with its fifth and final season.
Are you as excited to see everyone return as I am? Share your thoughts and comments with us on the Redshirts Always Die Facebook and X pages. And Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 drops Thursday, July 23, on Paramount+.
Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
