Jess Bush bid a heartfelt adieu to the cast and crew of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, giving everyone a parting gift that was as personal as it was thoughtful. As the series wrapped after five seasons, Bush, who has played Christine Chapel for the entire run, handed each member of the team a carefully curated book of photographs (below) she had taken herself.
The images capture intimate behind-the-scenes moments from the show’s production in Toronto, from quiet hallway chats and laughter on set to candid snapshots of the cast in full costume and her co-stars napping, providing a rare glimpse of life beyond the cameras.
Series star Anson Mount shared glimpses of the book on Instagram. His caption reflected the emotion many felt at the close of the show, celebrating both the work and the bonds formed over half a decade.
Bush also posted her own reflections about wrapping production, noting the bittersweet mix of pride and nostalgia on Instagram by writing the following:
"This feeling is very big. I could not be more thankful for the five years I got to spend growing with this group of people. That’s a wrap on the chap ❤️🖖🏼"
For a cast and crew that spent years inhabiting the world of the Enterprise, Bush’s gift was more than a photo book; it was a piece of the shared story, a tangible keepsake of the friendships and memories forged on set. In true Star Trek fashion, it was a small gesture, a volume that spoke volumes.
Of course, the Strange New Worlds adventure isn’t over yet for fans. Seasons 4 and 5 are still to come. For more Star Trek content, visit the Redshirts Always Die Facebook and X pages.
